![]() isn't there a class action lawsuit about ford trucks doing the same or a similar thing? can you help me? i am concerned about driving the vehicle without it being repaired. I have a lot more notes but they pretty much say the same thing. the ford regional manager said the same thing. and if they couldn't get it to repeat the problem they couldn't help. the dealership kept the vehicle for almost two weeks, said they drove it 273 miles and couldn't get the problem to repeat. i chose to leave the truck at the dealership rather than risk driving it. they talked to the ford regional manager and i was to bring the truck back when they had a service rep available to fully check it out. The ford dealership couldn't get the truck to repeat the problem. the truck accelerated with my foot on the brake. I needed to move the truck in the mean time and it did it again. i parked the truck and called my local ford dealer. after re-starting the engine a couple more times i was able to drive the truck home. i re-started the engine and was able to pull the truck out of the line. i slammed the gear shift into park and cut the engine off. i pressed hard on the brake and the rear wheels began to spin. i pressed on the brake and the engine began to accelerate. (i am a one foot driver.)the truck began to inch forward. the truck was running and my right foot was on the brake. I was sitting in a fast food line waiting to place order. if not full reimbursement, half off would ,make me a happy ford owner again and in the future. we only wish to take it to the dealership and get it fixed with ford at the very least giving us a discount on the labor or parts. we do not have any interest in exasperating this issue with other owners to further bash the ford brand. we only want our truck to be fixed at no charge to us. we are ford lovers and owners since a 1978 pinto. please let me be perfectly clear : we do not care nor want to be part of a class action lawsuit. ![]() ![]() we know they will not recall the rack and pinion steering that causes this. after researching this issue, we know ford is aware of it. there was no previous warning or pre-emptive measures that could have prevented this from occurring. can not drive truck at this point as this is a safety nightmare waiting to happen to unsuspecting drivers and passengers. purchased and installed brand new motorcraft battery and still have same issues. removed vehicle ground cable from battery post. with key not in ignition, same things, lights would not turn off. sync system was asking several uninvited questions, while cluster was turning off and on, blinking, flashing random warning lights and indicators. she inserted key into ignition while turning switches and knobs attempting to shut down accessories. however lights, cluster in dash and interior lights would not shut off, with key removed from ignition. truck immediately shut down upon crashing into mailbox and would not restart. immediately wife lost power steering and could not avoid a mailbox in front of house. i told them my ford truck mechanic saw the code, they are very familiar with him and his independent shop, and they said it didnt matter, ford changed the rules on them.Īdvance trac warning light came on screen as wife and 2 young children were driving under normal conditions at night. when they checked my f150, they claimed the code was no longer in the system therefore they could not fix it under the customer satisfaction program. they would not accept my mechanics evidence of the code. I took my ford f150 into planet ford in dallas texas, and they said that ford change the requirements, they now requires that the code be present in the system, be printed out, for evidence to have the recall covered. he directed me to take it to the ford dealer in dallas to receive the recall and free repair under the customer satisfaction program. I took my ford f150 to my independent ford truck mechanic for a diagnosis, he found dtc p0722. thankfully myself and my truck were on injured. this is exactly the symptoms in the recall. On february 8th i experienced an unintended downshift event while in motion, on the highway, i was immediately slowed down, wrench light on my dash, as well as zero speedometer, and was in limp mode. the original recall i received in the mail said that the programming would be redone first (19s07) and i did that in late 2019. My vin was recalled for unintended transmission downshift safety issue, which has cause accidents and injuries as well as damage to the vehicle. i only have 10 days left on the customer satisfaction program and they are giving me the run around. My dealer and ford have refused to fix my vehicle under the original customer satisfaction program rules for 19n01, and because of a technicality and fords new extra strict rules, i am being asked to pay out of pocket. ![]()
