![]() This is our first game as a studio and we intend for Grim Dawn to be a continuing franchise, not just a one-off game. We expect the final game will provide about 20-40 hours for a first-time play-through on normal difficulty, depending on level of exploration / clearing. Additional big content releases in mid to late 2014.5th player class, the Arcanist, should be ready early to middle of 2014.More questing and NPC interaction involving factions.Additional difficulty modes and multiplayer should become available early to middle of 2014.Item crafting will roll out, probably before the end of the year.More quests with choice and consequence in Act II.Act II content will be released in the next few months.Here is some of the stuff we plan to roll out in the coming months: Most players report that the current build is fairly stable with mostly mild bugs and we're always working to fix bugs as they come up. We're still refining gameplay based on player feedback, adding requested features and working to deliver the remaining content and additional slated features. There is quite a lot of replay value between trying different classes / builds and collecting items. While content is still in development, the core gameplay is already fairly robust and a lot of fun. ![]() You can currently play about the first 1/3 of Grim Dawn and up to character level 25, with some additional higher level secret areas to be found beyond the main story content. The ability to spend money to reclaim skill points alleviates the fear and frustration of having to make early, uninformed decisions that could permanently nerf a character.However, aiding one faction could turn a rival faction into your enemy. An NPC faction system lets the player improve their relations with different NPC groups to earn rewards as their favor increases such as merchant discounts, new items, and additional quest lines.(Some quests offer choices in Act1 but much more of this is coming in Act2) New quest and conversation system will allow players to interact with NPCs in more interesting ways and choose different paths to complete quests.Camera rotation enhances the three-dimensionality of the world and gameplay while levels are still designed so that players are not forced to rotate the camera.(still in development but almost ready to roll out) Collect item recipes that allow you to combine salvaged components into unique crafted items and then, later, use those basic crafted items with higher-tiered recipes to complete items of unprecedented badassness.(multiplayer is not yet available but is expected in early 2014) Multiplayer encounters will put your teamwork to the ultimate challenge. Connect with old friends or make new allies in glorious multiplayer.Gameplay systems designed to expand for 200 levels of character progression, equipment, and enemies to fight makes for ridiculous amounts of replay value.Variable wind gusts blow grass and affect objects like windmills. A sunny day can cloud over with mild rain showers that builds into a booming thunderstorm. Dynamic Weather brings the world to life with region-specific climates and a variety of weather effects.Both randomized rare affix items and custom crafted unique items can provide amazing bonuses and special item-granted skills to support numerous different class builds. Collect hundreds of items in common, magical, rare, epic and legendary classes of loot.Smash in doors and fight house to house, leaving a path of demolished furniture in your wake. ![]() ![]()
